Mizuno Family

One night Usagi Tsukino was having a sleepover at her friend Ami Mizuno's appartment. As the night went on, Usagi and Ami began talking about their families.

"I think it would be nice if I had a sister." Ami responded, and looked over at a framed picture of herself and her mother Saeko Mizuno on her dresser. "Since my Dad left, my mother has been the only family I have, and because of her work I don't get to see her very often."

It was than that Usagi had a thought, "I wonder what it would be like if we had been sisters, if we were both reborn by the Silver Crystal with your parents."

"I guess you would have blue hair like me." Ami replied, "And it would be short like mine too, since Mom has always made me keep my hair short."

Usagi looked at Ami's hair and said, "I might have been nice to have hair like yours, it's very beautiful."

Ami blushed and replied, "Thank you, but I thought you loved your long blonde hair."

"I do" Usagi replied, "But sometimes I wonder what my life would be like without it."

Ami replied, "My mother also would have been very strict with your studies."

A slight cringe came across Usagi's face, "I guess it would have been worth it if I could do as well in school as you."

Ami smiled and the two girls continued talking about how life might have been if they were sisters. As time passed, Usagi and Ami decided it was time to sleep, so Ami tucked herself in her bed and Usagi nestled into the futon Ami had prepared for her.

As the two girls slept, the Silver Crystal began to glow with a radiant light, and emitted a wave of energy which flowed out through the apartment and out into the sky.

As the sun began to rise, Usagi began to stir herself awake, and noticed something felt different. She was still in Ami's bedroom, but no longer on the futon which she went to sleep the night before, she was now in a bed like Ami's. As she arose from the bed she noticed something else, her head felt noticably lighter. Usagi reached up to her hair, no longer feeling her odango and pigtails. Usagi walked over to Ami's full length mirror and gazed upon her reflection. The long blonde tresses were gone, Usagi's hair was now short and blue, just like Ami's, and her formerly pink pajamas were now a soft shade of light blue. As Usagi ran her fingers through her now short blue locks of hair, she remembered her conversation with Ami the night before. Usagi ran over to Ami's dresser, and looked at the photo of Ami and her mother, only to discover a third person in the photograph next to Ami's mother, it was herself with her new hair.

Usagi rushed to Ami's bed with the picture and woke her up. As her vision began to clear, Ami was surprised to see what looked like her twin. As she focused on the girls face she realized who it was and said.

"Usagi? Is that you?"

"It is me." Usagi replied, showing Ami the photograph, "I'm not sure how, but it looks like I've become your sister."

Ami got out of bed and examined the photo as Usagi returned to the mirror, looking over her new appearance.The shock of her sudden change had begun to wear off and a smile appeared on her face as she looked over her new hair and clothes.

"I think I like looking like this" Usagi said with a giggle. "This is kind of fun!"

Ami joined her new sister at the mirror, smiled and said, "I think I'm going to like having a sister."
